As you’re aware, soil health has been seriously depleted over the last 30 –40 years due to abuse of chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides. Useful microorganisms that fix atmospheric Nitrogen, microbes that solubilize Phosphorus, Potash, Zinc, Sulfur, microbes that digest cellulose and hemi cellulosic material for its conversion to Humus – the Soil Organic Matter (SOM) have become extinct in these abused soils. Unless useful soil microbe population is increased, humus will not be formed and organic Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potash and trace elements will not be available to plants.

All the nutrients applied in any form- be it as farmyard manure / compost / urea / DAP etc finally will be in in-organic ionic form and that is referred to as “exchangeable form”. These ionic elements cannot enter directly in to root system and they need a buffer to enter. Humus acts as a buffer and increases the Cation Exchange Capacity of roots.

How to improve Humus status is Soils?

Soil Organic Matter content improvement is normally a long term issue. It is continuous ongoing process in nature . However, same can be drastically improved or accelerated for the current crop season by incorporation of Bio Fertilizers.

What kinds of Organic Manures are available? Can farmers make their own?

Commercially available organic manures are expensive and therefore it is recommended that farmers produce their own inexpensive organic manurers.

Press Mud of sugar factories is available for free in many part of the world and farmers may have to incur only transportation expenses to get it. Similarly cow dung /farm yard manure are available to make best use of it. Bio Waste from fruit / vegetable markets are available for free in many instances. Any bio mass available in the farm like paddy straw, sugarcane leaves, cotton stalks, mulberry dry plants etc can be utilized to make organic manures in the field.

COMFAST – inexpensive Digester

COMFAST – is a research product from Exotic Naturals, a leading exporters of innovative natural agri inputs from India.
COMFAST – is the biomass digester produced and offered by Exotic Naturals.
COMFAST is made available in two step products viz.

  1. COMFAST – A &
  2. COMFAST – B.

COMFAST – A is recommended for primary digestion of cellulose and 1 Kg of this product is required per Tonne of Biomass.
COMFAST – B is recommended for enhancement of digested bio mass to become valuable Organic Manure.

COMFAST – How to use?

Pulverize the biomass. Cow dung can be used as it is. Wet the biomass and store in shade for few days.

COMFAST –A & COMFAST– B for digesting hard Biomass

COMFAST is offered as two part treatment viz. COMFAST – A and COMFAST – B for digesting and enhancing hard biomass like that of Sugarcane press mud and Mulberry twigs.

COMFAST –A for digesting Biomass

Mix 1 Kg of COMFAST – A and 1 Kg of Jaggery and 100 g common salt in 200 Liters of water.
Mix these 200 Liters to 1 Tonne of Biomass. Spread biomass in layer, drench the liquid and then repeat the same process.
Cover the heap with gunny bags
Drench the gunny bags with water
Observe the top of heap once in few days and if it is dry, drench water on gunny bags so that the heap maintains moisture of about 20 – 30 %.
The biomass gets digested in about 4 weeks.

COMFAST –B for enhancement of digested Biomass to High Quality Organic Manure

Mulch the heap of digested Biomass.
Mix 1 Kg of COMFAST – B and 100 g common salt in 200 Litres of water.
Mix this 200 Litres to the digested Biomass. Spread digested biomass in layer, drench the liquid and then repeat the same process.
Cover the heap with gunny bags
Drench the gunny bags with water
Observe the top of heap once in few days and if it is dry, drench water on gunny bags so that the heap maintains moisture of about 20 – 30 %.
The digested biomass gets converted to valuable Organic Manure in about 2 weeks.

COMFAST – for normal Biomass

COMFAST is offered as a single dose application for most biomass like cow dung, vegetable / fruit wastes.

Treat 1 Kg of COMFAST per Tonne of normal Biomass as per the details given above. The Biomass gets digested and converted in to Bio Fertilizer in about 4-6 weeks.

What is the use of COMFAST treated Organic Manure?

COMFAST treated Bio Fertilizer has:

  • organic N, P, K and trace elements in exchangeable form,
  • has bio fertilizers like Nitrogen Fixing Bacteria, Solubilizing bacteria for P, K, Zn, S
  • also has certain Bio-Stimulants.

COMFAST treated Biomass gets converted to useful organic manure rich in organic nutrients.
About 100 Kg of COMFAST treated Bio Fertilizer fixes about 20 Kg of atmospheric Nitrogen per acre of soil. Other advantages are solubilization of P, K, Zn and Bio Stimulant action.

100 Kg of COMFAST treated Bio Fertilizer is recommended for 1 acre of crop and the dose can be increased to 2000 Kg per acre as a soil amelioration product.

How much it cost to the farmer to make COMFAST treated Organic Manure in field?

The total cost of organic manure including cost of Biomass and COMFAST culture, labour and water may be less than half of same quality commercially available organic manures.

Thus, farmer can apply liberal quantities of inexpensive Organic Manures and shorten the time required to improve Humus content of Soil.

How COMFAST treated Organic Manure is useful to crops?

  • The soil will get enriched with Humus.
  • Beneficial Microbial population will increase considerably in the crop season and thereby the plants will become naturally healthy and develop traits to assimilate proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and other active principles in the desired economical produce of crops
